Mental illness!

Helloooooo!!!

My first post! gosh.

=) here's something i wrote regarding mental illness.

Narrator:
In a far away land, long ago, lived a king and his fair queen. Many years had they longed for a cure from this seeming lethargy that they had had, this life of drudgery and of utter meaningless existence, and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born, and they called her Prozac. Yes, they named her after the antidepressant for she filled their lives with sunshine, endless joy and boundless energy. Then a great holiday or if you like, stupor from all activity, was proclaimed throughout the kingdom, so that all of varying levels of sanity might pay homage to the medical empire of neuroscience and anti-psychotic pills. And our story begins on that most unusually deviant day.

Narrator:
Thus on this great and joyous day did all the kingdom celebrate the long awaited royal birth with a series of insulin shocks, psychosurgery, cocktails of antidepressants and rounds of electroconvulsive therapy. And good King Bizarre and his Queen Ludicrous made welcome their life-long friends.
Announcer: Their royal highnesses, King Mania and prince Depressive…
