Belhardan's Legendary Bachelor Party

Have you ever been to a dwarven bachelor party? These are really exclusive events that only the rich can afford (Common folk don't have a bachelor party tradition, only the marriage ceremony alone). Golden carriages, divine entertainment, paradise venues, well, you get the idea of how grand they are. However, none of them can be as epic as Belhardan's Legendary Bachelor Party.

Belhardan has been dating Lysbelle for a few years before proposing to her. Planning for his bachelor party alone consumed a huge fortune and time. Why? Because he wanted to visit every city in Dhol Thorim one last time as a single dwarf. He brought along his private guards and servants on his trip. Each of his guest brought along their own soldiers and maids too. It is easy to mistake his party as a huge travelling merchant caravan from far.

The caravan started at Kulgolir, the merchant city famous for having the biggest auction house in Dhol Thorim. It is here that Belhardan bought his famous "Ghostblade" and tested it on the spot with another prized item in the auction house (He broke a very rare mithril sculpture of a dryad kissing a centaur). Calling his purchases at Kugolir a 'shopping spree' is a huge understatement. He spent a small nation's monthly budget in mere days! All of his private guards get very rare magical weapons and armors from that trip (Some even retired after the bachelor party and became very rich after selling his Kulgolir equipment). He ignored the black market at Kulgolir because he has to pass a lot of city entrance checks on his bachelor party.

Next stop, Thortarum! The capital is famous for having everything ever dwarf-made. If you have enough gold, you can buy whatever you want here! Women! Food! Alcohol! Antiquity! He bought them, in that order, and mailed back home those that his caravan cannot carry. Belhardan even ignored his official reception at the palace to start shopping as soon as possible, truly a shopkeeper's dream customer. His arrival even ignited a new type of service industry focused on tourists who love to shop till they drop.

Ah, Haghrihm, the military center of Dhol Thorim. You would think that Belhardan could not spend that much here when there are so little luxury shops around. Oh how naive I was..... Belhardan went soldier shopping instead. He rented a city hall and held a tournament. Whoever defeats him wielding "Ghostblade" gets a huge amount of money. Whoever he defeats gets an offer to serve in his private army for six months minimum (Some are still working there till today). Those that put up a good fight gets paid a handsome reward on the spot, doesn't matter if they lose or rejected the employment offer.

Did you know how Thorndorul's famous iced fish eggs with cow milk recipe got invented? Yup, you got it right, Belhardan invented that and a lot of other famous Thorndorul recipes on that legendary bachelor party. He used the kitchen-forge expertly and changed the cuisine world forever. The abundance of imported Isenthorn materials helped a lot. Belhardan, the man who can put both soldiers and chefs to shame. Lysbelle is one very lucky woman to be married to him.

Banedur is the most fortified place in Dol Thorim and constantly on alert for an invasion. So, he threw a huge party here when he arrived to boost troops morale. He ordered for many raw materials to be transported here and helped cook them all for the hungry soldiers. His bachelor party has many other names among the soldiers of Banedur such as "Eat Everything Up" or "Drink Like No Tomorrow." Banedur officers still talk about that party today.

Belhardan received a very warm and public welcome when he entered the city of Vardohr. Everyone cheered for him when they heard what he did for Thorndorul and Banedur. Feeling the pressure, he went straight to work. Except his work is shopping. He visited the famous "Stone Markets" of Vardohr and noticed that everyone is only selling raw stones. Remembering the mitril statue that he sliced in Kulgolir, he started a new crafting industry in Vardohr. Skilled artists were hired to work in Vardohr where raw materials are much cheaper. Soon, an art colony was born in Vardohr with beautiful statues found everywhere on Vardohr's streets.

He wanted to visit the city of Vog Taruhr, famous for it's many temples and peaceful religions but alas, he spent too much of his wedding budget before the wedding. Lysbelle, his future wife, had to hunt him down and drag him back home before he drives both of their noble families into debt.

And that is how a bachelor party changed the nation so much. He boosted the economy, invented a new tourism industry, reduced unemployment rate, revolutionized the cooking world, gained military faction's support, and improved a city tremendously. What a dwarf!
